Frank Green’s personal odyssey between
1951 and 1960 takes him from the windswept campus of the
University of Chicago to the busy streets of Manhattan,
and finally to US Air Force bases outside of Seoul,
Korea and Tokyo, Japan. His experiences along the way;
of love, loss, joy and calamity moves him from
adolescence to maturity as he seeks to discover himself.
It is a journey unique to the protagonist, yet one with
which many readers will identify, as they find
themselves revisiting their own passage through life.
What author Richard Karlen has demonstrated in this
engaging tale, is that all of us, like Frank Green, have
a very special story to tell.
Richard R. Karlen grew up in Newark, NJ, where he later
practiced dentistry for thirty-five years. He currently
lives in Scotch Plains, NJ with his wife, son and
daughter. His most recent novel “The Trustee” will be
